Prime Video assembles powerhouse on-air roster for NHL on Prime

Available in both English and French, NHL on Prime kicks off on Wednesday, September 30 only on Prime Video at no additional cost to Prime members

Hockey season is almost here. Yesterday, Prime Video has revealed the on-air talent lineup for the 2026-27 season of NHL on Prime, a roster packed with legendary announcers, sharp reporters, and expert analysts ready to call the action in both English and French for Prime customers across Canada.

Wednesday Night Hockey streams national regular season games on Wednesday nights, starting September 30 with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the New York Islanders. Across the season, NHL on Prime delivers 27 national regular-season games plus select Stanley Cup Playoff series, all at no extra cost to Prime members.

The French broadcast is a first for Prime Video, and legendary broadcaster Alain Crête is back in the booth to headline it. He's joined by Michaël Roy, Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, Guillaume Latendresse, Jean-Sébastien Giguère, Maxime Lalonde, and Marc-André Perreault.

For the English broadcast, play-by-play voice John Forslund returns to the mic, with Adnan Virk, Andi Petrillo, and Christine Simpson plus a stacked analyst crew featuring Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Pronger, Jody Shelley, Blake Bolden, Thomas Hickey, Shane Hnidy, and Tyson Nash.

NHL on Prime is produced fully on site in English by Prime Sports, with all French broadcasts produced on-site and in-studio in collaboration with TVA Sports. Crête, Grand-Pierre, and Perreault deliver live on-site coverage for all seven Montréal Canadiens regular-season games, while studio programming originates from a dedicated NHL on Prime panel at the TVA Sports studio in Montréal.

Prime Video is the exclusive long-term home of regular-season Wednesday Night Hockey in Canada beginning with the 2026-27 season and continuing through the 2037-38 season. For the first time, Prime Video also exclusively hosts select Stanley Cup Playoff series in Canada, including two First Round playoff series and one Second Round series per year.
