Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge in 2019, committing to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040—The Climate Pledge now has more than 550 signatories, including Best Buy, IBM, Microsoft, PepsiCo, Siemens, Unilever, Verizon, and Visa.
What is Climate Pledge Friendly?
Canada launched Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program in September 2024 to help customers discover and shop for more sustainable products. The program highlights over 1.8M products with sustainability features that support Amazon’s commitment to help preserve our natural world. We collaborate with over 40 trusted sustainability certifications to highlight a product's sustainability features, from Carbon Impact to Organic Content to Worker Well-being. Certifications include Fair Trade Certified, Cradle to Cradle, and Global Organic Textile Standard.
