What is SCTV?
Created by Toronto's renowned comedy institution The Second City, SCTV originally aired from 1976 to 1984 and became a cultural phenomenon. The series' innovative format, a fictional television station broadcasting from the small town of Melonville, provided the framework for an endless variety of sketches, parodies, and memorable characters that earned the show multiple awards and a permanent place in television history.
