There's something universally captivating about stories that capture a specific time and place while revealing truths that resonate across generations. In the latest Canadian Prime Original series, acclaimed creator and actor Martin Matte takes viewers back to 1990s Quebec, a pivotal era when the province balanced tradition and modernity, through a deeply personal story inspired by his father's life.

Mark your calendars for May 1, when all six episodes of Vitrerie Joyal (The Glass House) premiere exclusively on Prime Video. Before Canadian audiences can stream the series, it will make its world premiere on March 27 as the closing night gala at the prestigious Series Mania festival in Lille, France.

What is Vitrerie Joyal (The Glass House)?
Created by Martin Matte and directed by Guillaume Lonergan (Empathie, Audrey est revenue), this six-part limited comedy-drama follows the journey of André Joyal, a first-generation Quebec entrepreneur who started from nothing to build a prosperous business. Through André's story, a character inspired by Matte's own father, an entire era unfolds, revealing the ambition, hope, and disillusionment that defined Quebec in the '90s.
